After I had water pipes rupture in my home from seasonal freezing weather, I decided to come up with an automated solution that I could install so I wouldn’t have to worry about seasonal water pipe preparation or frozen water pipes ever again.....period! This is a typical problem that adds stress to most people's lives that live in southern U.S. when a weather freeze warning is approaching. After designing and installing AHPPKIT’s in my house, the system worked so well to protect the water pipes that I decided to get it patented and help others avoid the same disaster by packaging this simple system into complete D.I.Y. kits. AHPPKIT stands for Automated Home Pipe Protection Kit and is a totally automated system that purges a pre-determined amount of water through your homes inside hot and cold-water pipes. When outside temperatures are below freezing the water flows into your existing drain piping, when temperatures rise above freezing the water purge stops, it's totally automatic no matter how many times the outside temperature cycles above and below freezing. The convenience is that you install the system downstream of your individual user's water stub-out stop valves, so you don't have to shut down the water supply to your house or perform any wall, cabinetry, electrical or plumbing revamp. The AHPPKIT system uses small plastic tubing, so you install it in the cabinetry under your sink or behind a toilet or washing machine so it’s virtually unnoticeable unless you are looking for it. It is recommended to install an AHPPKIT at all locations where your water pipes are running in exterior walls of your house, and or at the furthest water user away from the homes main water supply inlet line. AHPPKIT's are battery operated with up to 10-year battery life and totally automated so once you've installed it and set up your controlling parameters in the smartphone APP you have complete piece of mind as well as no more hassles of preparing your water pipes when freezes arrive. Components used in the AHPPKIT are the same as what is used in under counter R.O. drinking water systems so you can be assured that they are tried and true. I’ve spent hundreds of hours sourcing and testing the ideal components and include everything you will need from Teflon tape to the smart components for a complete D.I.Y. Installation.
